Do you have trouble Finding Time for Routines?
Do you find yourself and your family running around in the morning or evening with no plan? Are you late to school, or late to events, or do you completely forget them? If you struggle finding time for routines then read on as I have some tips that may help you.
Routines are an important part to any family. There is so much that goes on every single day that the wing-it approach may not work. Yes this works quite fine for some people and Yay to them. However with how fast pace today’s world is a routine is a great idea so things don’t get missed.
Routines help structure and organise the family for the day. Allowing tasks to be completed and each member of the family knows what needs to be done, in what order, when and how often.
Over the next few weeks I will be looking at 4 different routines that you can apply to your household to help get the chaos into some sort of order.
Routines will include;
• Morning Routine, well it is the start of the day so I think it is a great place to start.
• After school/ Dinner Routine, which will include home work, school activities, and getting ready for dinner.
• Bed time/ Evening Routine, which will include bath, teeth, quite time and bed routine.
• Parents Routine, getting those last minute chores done before spending quality time together.
I will include free printables to help you Find Time for your own Routines and get the chaos in check.
Now my experience is coming to you from a 2 child household who are in kindergarten and a preschooler. I realise that what works for my household may not work for your family however I do believe that the principles are the same, so give it a go and see how you go.
I hope these routines help you get some structure back in your lives. Please let me know what you find works for your family as your tips may help me and also may help others.
